Job summary

Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking an ambitious Occupational Therapist to join a Band 6 rotational programme. The role provides a diverse mix of acute and community placements, including a Stroke Unit, with opportunities to develop broad clinical expertise.

Candidates should have HCPC registration, BAOT membership, and at least 18 months post-qualification NHS experience. The team values communication, leadership and CPD, with shifts across an 8am–8pm pattern where required.

Qualifications

• At least 18 months post-qualification experience.
• Broad based experience of Occupational Therapy in NHS acute settings.
• Knowledge of equipment provision and prescription.
• Evidence of attendance at post-graduate courses/training.
• Member of professional OT bodies and CPD engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage a designated caseload with complex needs using evidence-based, client-centred principles.
• Maintain records to meet legal and professional standards.
• Supervise OT students on practice placements.
• Provide leadership for junior staff through supervision and appraisal.
• Participate in the rotational scheme across Elderly, General Medicine, Stroke Unit, Surgery, Orthopaedics, and Complex Neurological conditions.
