Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Foundation Trust invites applications for a Non-Clinical Support Worker on the Acute Medical Unit at Royal Lancaster Infirmary, Lancaster. The role supports ward cleanliness, patient comfort and coordination of facilities within the team.

The post is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a salary of £25,272 per annum. Prior care settings experience and GCSE Maths/NVQ are preferred; inclusive recruitment is encouraged.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient facilities services within the ward area.
• Order ward supplies and maintain stores.
• Keep the ward clean, safe, tidy and comfortable.
• Ensure food and drinks meet patient needs throughout the day.
• Assist staff to welcome and guide patients and visitors.
• Assist in daily bed making and transfer/discharge areas.
• Maintain privacy and dignity for all patients.
• Ensure adequate linen supply throughout the day.
