Job summary

NCIC in Carlisle is recruiting a Registered Nurse (Adult) for the Acute Medical Unit on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves 36 hours per week across day and night shifts, providing high-quality care to a 39-bed unit and upholding Trust values in a busy environment.

Requirements include current NMC registration and experience in acute care; leadership and supervision of junior staff, plus skills in venepuncture and cannulation. DBS checks and eligibility for sponsorship may apply.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse (adult) with active registration is required.
• Experience in acute hospital settings is desirable.
• Possession of an MSc in nursing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide all aspects of patient care.
• Admit, assess and escalate concerns to nurse in charge.
• Assess NEWS score and manage accordingly.
• Comply with infection prevention and control procedures.
