North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse (Adult) to join the Acute Medical Unit on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role offers 36 hours per week at Band 5, based at Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.
You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care, assess and escalate concerns, monitor NEWS, maintain infection prevention standards and safeguard vulnerable patients, while supporting the ward team across day and night shifts.

The acute medical unit is a fast paced, acute care environment; assessing, prioritising and caring for a multitude of patient and families, with specific acute care needs and long term conditions. AMU is a 39 bedded Short Stay Unit. We care for patients with acute care needs for up to 72 hrs and look after speciality patients until a bed becomes available in the appropriate area. The role will consist of 12 hrs shifts; both day and night shift working.
