Qualifications

• Post-qualifying experience in psychiatry.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Experience in crisis work and formulating care and risk management plans.
• Safeguarding knowledge.
• MDT/team-working experience.
• Audit and research experience.
• Experience teaching and training.

Responsibilities

• Undertake biopsychosocial assessments for patients at the Urgent Treatment Centre, Emergency Department, or medical wards with mental health needs.
• Care for CAMHS, dementia, older adult and adult patients.
• Provide person-centred treatment, support autonomous decisions and facilitate safe discharge plans.
• Offer formal and informal training to peers and acute trust colleagues.
• Coordinate with colleagues in health and social care to involve carers and families in care plans.
