Job summary

AEGIS London is seeking a qualified Actuary to join a high-performing, forward-looking actuarial team. The role offers exposure across capital modelling, pricing, reserving and business planning, and the opportunity to work with Underwriting, Risk, Finance and Data Science.

The successful candidate will own defined analyses, communicate clearly to stakeholders and manage competing priorities in a hybrid London environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with strong mathematical and statistical background.
• Experience in capital modelling, pricing, reserving and business planning.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical matters to non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• Proficiency in IT and analytical tools; coding and data tooling advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and parameterisation of the internal capital model.
• Analyse model outputs and contribute to capital setting and business planning.
• Prepare regulatory capital submissions and management reporting.
• Perform quarterly reserving analyses and assess profitability by class of business.
• Provide pricing support and maintain pricing models and tools.
• Produce timely actuarial analysis and regulatory returns.
• Collaborate with Risk, Underwriting, Finance and Data Science on cross-functional projects.
