Job summary

AIG is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst for its Casualty team in London. You will contribute to profitability studies, pricing models, and portfolio analysis with underwriters and cross-functional partners.

The role requires a mathematics/actuarial degree, part-qualification, and 2+ years’ pricing or reserving experience, plus Excel and coding skills (VBA/R/Python). Office-based with a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics/Actuarial Science or equivalent.
• Part-qualified actuary with actuarial examinations in progress.
• 2+ years’ actuarial pricing or reserving experience.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Coding ability in VBA, R or Python.
• Strong communicator with ability to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to work under own initiative and adapt to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide actuarial support to profitably grow the business and remedial actions as needed.
• Produce transactional pricing analyses for accounts with underwriters.
• Develop and enhance pricing tools considering local market requirements.
• Monitor renewal and new business rates with the pricing team and justify deviations.
• Report performance at granular level to assist underwriters in optimization.
• Ensure data used for pricing and monitoring is complete, accurate and timely.
• Comply with key regulatory and risk management procedures.
