Job summary

American International Group, Inc. in London is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to advance pricing, reserving and profitability studies within our Casualty team. You will work closely with underwriters, finance and risk to deliver robust pricing solutions and performance analytics.

The role requires 2+ years of actuarial experience, strong Excel and coding skills (VBA/R/Python), and excellent communication. This office-based position supports a collaborative culture and Total Rewards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science or equivalent.
• Part-qualified actuary status expected.
• 2+ years’ actuarial experience in pricing or reserving.
• Strong MS Excel skills and coding ability in VBA, R or Python.

Responsibilities

• Provide actuarial support to profitably grow the business and take remedial action when needed.
• Produce transactional pricing analyses for accounts within agreed timescales with underwriters.
• Contribute to technical pricing tool development and enhancements for local market needs.
• Monitor renewal and new business rates with the pricing team, ensuring justified deviations.
• Report performance at granular levels to help underwriters optimize outcomes.
