Legal & General (L&G) invites a Year in Industry placement in Actuarial – Retail Protection Pricing, based in Brighton & Hove. You’ll join the Retail Protection Pricing team to learn modelling, data analysis and pricing decisions within a large financial services group.

The program supports hands-on experience, mentoring and cross‑functional exposure, with opportunities to develop technical and business skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• On track for a 2.1
• GCSE Maths and English Grade 5
• Studying towards an undergraduate degree in a STEM subject
• A-level Maths or equivalent
• Open to learning and developing skills

Responsibilities

• Working with actuaries and analysts to learn modelling and pricing decisions
• Developing understanding of protection products and insurance economics
• Building and improving analytical tools and processes
• Supporting repricing exercises using pricing models and data
• Analyzing large datasets to identify trends and insights
• Monitoring the protection market and competitor pricing
• Taking ownership of analysis and pricing projects as you grow
