Job summary

Legal & General (L&G) invites you to join its Year in Industry placement within the Asset Allocation team in London. You'll gain hands-on experience in research, portfolio analysis and client communication while learning how investments support pension schemes and retail clients.

You'll work with economists, strategists and investment specialists, use Python and Excel, and contribute to real-time market analysis and longer-term projects.

Qualifications

• On track for a 2.1 in a four-year course
• Penultimate-year student graduating in 2028
• Grade B or above in A-level Maths
• GCSE Maths and English Grade 5
• Some coding experience and willingness to learn
• Familiarity with Python and Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research and analysis informing asset allocation decisions
• Work with colleagues on live investment questions and daily market developments
• Support the day-to-day management of multi-asset portfolios
• Contribute to client communications about portfolios and investment activity
• Take ownership of longer-term projects to build quantitative and investment skills
• Analyze financial and time-series data using qualitative and quantitative techniques
• Use Python and other tools used by the investment team to support analysis
• Present findings and develop communication skills
