Job summary

Grant Thornton UK in Birmingham is seeking a commercially minded Manager to join our Actuarial & Risk Modelling team, supporting pensions, valuations and financial risk matters with practical, commercially focused advice.

You will lead delivery of pensions actuarial engagements, manage client relationships, review technical work and coach junior colleagues, with opportunities to contribute to business development and thought leadership.

Qualifications

• Qualified Actuary with DB pensions experience preferred.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and delivering within timeframes.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and coach juniors.
• Commercial awareness and interest in growing a practice.
• Interest in AI, innovation and data-driven advisory services.
• Flexibility to adapt role as team grows.

Responsibilities
