Grant Thornton in the UK is seeking an enthusiastic and commercially minded Actuarial & Risk Modelling Manager to join the team that supports pensions, valuations and financial risk matters.

You will lead pensions actuarial engagements, manage client relationships, review work, mentor juniors and contribute to business development, while embracing AI-enabled ways of working in a growing practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Actuary with Defined Benefit pensions experience.
• Experience managing multiple internal or external stakeholders and working within set project timeframes.
• Good communication and report writing skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and exceed client expectations.
• Comfortable monitoring junior team members' work and career development.
• Commercial awareness and interest in growing a practice.
• Interest in AI, innovation and data-driven advisory services.
• Flexibility to adapt your role as required to meet a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of pensions actuarial engagements.
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted adviser.
• Review technical work and coach junior team members.
• Contribute to business development, proposals and thought leadership.
• Support the growth and development of the Actuarial & Risk Modelling practice.
• Engage in corporate DB pension scheme advisory and audit support.
