Job summary

Grant Thornton UK LLP is seeking a commercially minded Manager to join our Actuarial & Risk Modelling team. You will lead the delivery of pensions actuarial engagements, manage client relationships and coach junior team members, with opportunities for progression as the team grows.

We emphasise innovation and AI-enabled ways of working, and you’ll contribute to business development, thought leadership, and the growth of the actuarial practice while delivering practical, commercially focused

Qualifications

• Qualified Actuary with DB pensions experience.
• Experience managing multiple internal or external stakeholders within defined timeframes.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and coach junior team members.
• Commercial awareness and interest in growing a practice; interest in AI and data-driven advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of pensions actuarial engagements.
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted adviser.
• Review technical work and coach junior team members.
• Contribute to business development, proposals and thought leadership.
• Support the growth and development of the Actuarial & Risk Modelling practice.
