Job summary

Pension Insurance Corporation’s Automation & Insights team seeks an individual with an actuarial background and strong software development capability to design, develop and support technical solutions across Finance. You will work with Finance and IT to identify automation opportunities and drive solutions through the full development lifecycle, including BAU support.

The role emphasizes actuarial and finance process automation within a regulated environment, with opportunities to embed

Qualifications

• Experience in Python development and testing of code-based solutions.
• Experience automating complex Finance or quantitative processes.
• Knowledge of UK Life Insurance Solvency and IFRS 17.
• Familiarity with regulatory framework (FCA & PRA).
• CI/CD, version control, packaging and cloud deployment knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end automation of Finance and actuarial processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and capability.
• Design and develop technical solutions with SMEs using appropriate technologies and quantitative techniques.
• Build, test and review solutions to a high standard, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Manage solutions through implementation and into BAU, including user demos and governance requirements.
• Maintain and enhance existing solutions, resolving issues and adding features or bug fixes.
• Collaborate across Finance and IT to deliver meaningful improvements.
