Job summary

LCP InsurSight in the United Kingdom is hiring an Actuarial Analyst to help shape a flagship analytics SaaS platform used across insurance sectors. You will apply actuarial skills to real-world workflows, work with developers and data scientists, and contribute to testing, design, and client success.

This role blends actuarial practice with software delivery, offering hybrid working, study support, and opportunities to grow into product and analytics leadership within a market-leading insurtech

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in actuarial work in non-life insurance
• Good progress with the IFOA exams
• Strong understanding of general insurance reserving concepts and processes
• Analytical, curious and detail-oriented mindset
• Interest in learning about software development and testing
• Ability to translate actuarial concepts into practical feedback for actuarial and non-actuarial audiences alike
• Demonstrable experience of working with various team types, with experience of working with software developers and agile processes a benefit
• Proactive with colleagues and clients, driving work forward and contributing new ideas
• Interest in technology and innovation in insurance

Responsibilities

• Design real-world user workflows using actuarial knowledge and collaborate with QA to test
• Develop actuarial test frameworks and reusable test cases, utilising AI to speed testing
• Support customers via support channels, investigate actuarial queries and resolve InsurSight issues
• Collaborate with QA to build actuarial understanding and effective tests
• Log and communicate issues to developers via Azure DevOps Boards
• Participate in feature design discussions with clients, product managers and developers
• Act as the "voice of the actuary" within delivery teams
• Collaborate with actuaries in insurance consulting to support InsurSight projects
