Arthur is delighted to be supporting a leading run-off insurer, providing actuarial support across reserving, capital, and transaction due diligence.This role is suited to a graduate who would like to, or is pursuing an actuarial qualification and offers exposure to a wide range of actuarial work in the Lloyd’s and company markets.
Responsibilities:
• Gather and process data for RITC transactions and company market deals.
• Support due diligence analysis for potential M&A transactions.
• Contribute to quarterly reserving by extracting premium, claims, and reinsurance data.
• Carry out reserve analyses and assist in preparing documentation for reserving committees.
• Operate models used to determine Solvency II technical provisions.
• Assist with the production of management information and actual vs expected analysis.
• Prepare data for auditors, actuaries, and regulatory bodies such as Lloyd’s.
• Extract data and perform statistical analyses for capital model parameterisation.
• Provide support to capital processes as required.
Requirements:
• A degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics or a related subject.
• Working towards actuarial qualification.
• Familiarity with reserving in the Lloyd’s and London Market (preferred).
• Proficient in Excel; VBA and ResQ experience advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Able to meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
• Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
