Job overview

We are seeking to recruit a forward-thinking and highly motivated individual to join Devon Ward as an Activity Support Worker at Chase Farm Hospital. The service is an integral part of the local adult mental health care pathway and works in partnership with key stakeholders.

You will be part of a specialist multidisciplinary team and therapy department within the hospital, providing intensive input to service users by developing individualized care programmes to prepare them for successful step-down to the acute wards. Principles of coproduction and Values Based Practice are central to the service's delivery.

Main duties of the job

Your role involves working within Devon Ward as an Activity Support Worker, contributing to the mental health care pathway, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support service users' recovery and transition.

The partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) has been strengthening since its inception in 2021, forming the North London Mental Health Partnership.

You may be required to work at various locations under the Trusts' jurisdiction to meet service needs. The Trust reserves the right to assign staff to different locations as necessary, on a temporary or permanent basis.
