Ashmere’s Codnor Park care home in Derbyshire is looking for an Activity Co-ordinator to bring creativity, connection and joy to residents’ days. Pay is up to £13.21 per hour, full-time with induction and DBS check, plus engagement incentives and recognition for your contributions.

You will plan and deliver a varied activity programme, tailor sessions to residents, support quieter participants, accompany residents to events, and collaborate with families and colleagues to celebrate moments.

Activity Co-ordinator – Codnor Park

Location: Derbyshire | Pay: Up to £13.21 per hour

Could you bring creativity, connection and a little extra joy to our residents’ days?

We’re looking for a caring, enthusiastic Activity Co-ordinator to join our team at Codnor Park, an Ashmere residential care home in Derbyshire.

You’ll help residents enjoy meaningful activities that reflect their interests, abilities and life experiences. From music and crafts to gardening, outings and special celebrations, you’ll create opportunities for residents to build friendships and continue doing the things they love.

About the role

Your role will include:

• Planning and delivering a varied programme of group activities and individual sessions.
• Getting to know residents and tailoring activities to their preferences and needs.
• Supporting residents who prefer quieter activities or individual companionship.
• Helping residents plan and fulfil personal wishes, including meaningful experiences and end-of-life wishes, with sensitivity and compassion.
• Accompanying residents to community events and communal event days, helping them participate and enjoy the occasion.
• Working with colleagues and families to encourage participation and celebrate special moments.
• Keeping activity records and using residents’ feedback to develop new ideas.
