Job summary

Leonard Cheshire Cheltenham is seeking an Activities Worker to plan and deliver engaging social and recreational activities for residents at Gloucestershire House. You’ll help disabled adults explore interests and participate in community life, ensuring activities are accessible and enjoyable.

This 15-hour-per-week role offers a caring, flexible environment with a benefits package including holiday, pension, health plan, and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Activities Worker is essential.
  • Experience supporting non-verbal, wheelchair users with complex needs is advantageous.
  • Full manual driving licence (essential).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and creatively, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • A warm, positive attitude and genuine passion for making a difference.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents to explore their interests and take part in community life.
  • Organise outings, events, and creative sessions that encourage participation and fun.

£13.38 per hour | Part Time | 15 hours per week | Gloucestershire House, Cheltenham

A home with heart

Gloucestershire House is a residential service with nursing support in Cheltenham, and home for up to 30 disabled adults. We also provide supported living bungalows for up to six more people. Residents are deeply involved in the running of the entire service. You’ll find excellent facilities, a friendly and positive atmosphere and a beautiful local area.

Your working hours

15 hours per week, 2 days per week - no set days

Ideally we are looking for an Activities Worker to work 7.5 hours per day, 2 days per week
