Job summary

Care South in Poole is seeking an Activities Team Lead to plan and deliver an ongoing programme of social activities for residents, including those living with dementia. You will manage an Activities Assistant team, coordinate a calendar of events, and work with the care team, residents and families to tailor activities to interests.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to connect with residents.
• Strong time management and organisational abilities.
• Experience in managing a small team (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of imaginative and enjoyable social & therapeutic activities for residents, including those living with dementia.
• Manage an ongoing calendar of social events and activities for residents.
• Negotiate with suppliers, order materials, book transport and arrange outings with the wider care team and families as appropriate.
• Research and implement new ideas, events and activities.
• Supervise the Activities Assistant team.
