Job summary

Mariposa Care Group at Riverwell Beck is seeking an Activities Coordinator to help create a joyful, engaging daily life for residents. You will build personal life stories, plan a varied activity calendar and work with a fantastic team who share the goal of making life meaningful for those in our care.

We welcome all applicants with a passion for caring. The role is part-time (12 hours per week) with DBS checks, English/numeracy requirements and full training and support provided.

Qualifications

• Good English and numeracy skills are required.
• Care experience is welcome but not mandatory; training and support will be provided.
• We value friendliness, compassion and creativity in residents' wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Get to know each resident personally and build their life stories into meaningful activities.
• Plan and deliver a fun and varied calendar of group activities, one-to-one moments and events.
• Motivate residents to join in activities that support social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
• Help residents maintain connections with family, friends and the local community.
• Take photos of events for newsletters and social media.

Ideally, we are looking for someone to have care experience, but we know people from other walks of life can become the very best in this type of role -so whether you’ve done this before or are just starting out, we’ll be with you every step of the way with all the training and support you need.

What you’ll do
