Job summary

Harrier Grange Care Home in Hampshire is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan and deliver engaging activities that promote wellbeing and social interaction for residents, including those living with dementia.

You will create a varied programme, build relationships with residents, and work as part of a supportive team. Training and development are provided, with a 36-hour week and a 12.71/hour rate.

Job description

Our private care facility in Hampshire offers Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite Care, providing an enriched and fulfilling lifestyle for up to 66-residents in a warm and supportive environment.

  • £12.71 per hour
  • Contracted to 36 hours per week - shift pattern listed below
  • Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.

Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.

Shift Pattern
Week 1

Monday - 9am-5pm
Tuesday - 9am-4pm
Wednesday - 12:30pm-7:30pm
Thursday - 9am-4pm
Friday - 9am-4pm
Saturday - off day
Sunday - off day

Week 2

Monday - off day
Tuesday - 9am-5pm
Wednesday - 9am-4pm
Thursday - 9am-4pm
Friday - 9am-4pm
Saturday - 9am-4pm
Sunday - off day

What We Are Looking For

  • A creative, organised and enthusiastic approach

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial, however candidates with transferable skills from roles such as hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply
