Job summary

Heathlands Care Home in Chingford is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance daily life through meaningful, person-centred activities for up to 84 residents. You will plan a varied programme of group and 1:1 activities, tailored to preferences and care needs, fostering wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

Role offers training and support for those new to care, with a warm, supportive team and a commitment to dignity and comfort.

Job description

Heathlands Care Home is a modern, purpose-built home in Chingford, offering high-quality nursing, dementia, palliative and short-term care for up to 84 residents. Set within private landscaped gardens, the home features spacious ensuite bedrooms across three floors, dedicated care teams, and a warm, homely atmosphere focused on dignity, comfort and personalised support.

• £13.32 per hour
• Contracted to 40 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.

Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.
