Job summary

Sandmere Care Home in Margate is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance daily life through engaging, person-centred activities that support wellbeing and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme for residents, tailoring sessions to individual interests and care needs, including those living with dementia. Training and support are provided to help you grow in the role.

Job description

A purpose-built care home located in the heart of the Margate community in Kent. Our 68-bed luxury service provides exceptional levels of Residential Care, Nursing Care, Dementia Care, and Respite Care

• £12.93 per hour
• Contracte to 30 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.

Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.
