Job summary

Ardenlee Care Home in Dunoon, Scotland, is seeking an Activities Coordinator to design and deliver meaningful, person-centred activities that support wellbeing, independence, and social interaction. The role focuses on adapting plans for residents, including those living with dementia.

We welcome both experienced candidates and those new to care; training and support are provided to help you develop in the role within our caring team.

Job description

Our care home sits in its own grounds with scenic views over the sea, woodland, and gardens, specialising in residential care for 32-residents.

• £13.08 per hour
• Contracted to 12 hours per week - 2 days 11am - 5pm
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.

Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.
