Job summary

Chandlers Ford Care Home is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance daily life through person-centred activities, promoting wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents' interests and care needs, including those living with dementia, working with a supportive team in a warm home environment.

Training is provided, and there are opportunities for development within Care Concern Group.

Qualifications

• Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• Genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Experience in activities or similar role is beneficial; transferable skills from hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply.

Job description

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia. Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.

  Chandlers Ford Care Home is a 41 bed, purpose built care home in the village of Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh, on the eastern edge of the South Downs National Park.   £13.45 to £13.95 per hour
