About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person working here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. Joining HC-One provides a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents. You will also assist the Home Manager in organizing essential fundraising events. Whether you're encouraging Residents to socialize more, developing new activity ideas based on their hobbies, or involving the care team, your actions will be guided by kindness.
We seek someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, planning, organizational, and IT skills are essential. You should manage your time effectively and communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately.
