Job summary

Meallmore in Inverness is seeking an energetic Activities Coordinator to plan and deliver engaging programmes for residents, working closely with care staff and the local community.

The role focuses on creativity, group activities, and event coordination, with a requirement to drive and use IT tools. 37.5 hours per week, £13.16 per hour plus overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
• Demonstration of excellent communication skills, having the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders.
• Proven ability in planning, organising and being flexible in your approach.
• Good IT skills being confident in the use of IT applications and social media platforms.
• You will be required to drive company vehicles, therefore full driving licence is essential.
• Friendly, creative, enthusiastic and confident personality.

Responsibilities

• Create a diverse range of engaging and motivational activity programmes tailored to residents’ abilities, interests and preferences maximizing independence and wellbeing.
• Represent Meallmore with pride - build relationships with the local community and families.
• Coordinate and lead group activities, such as arts and crafts, games, music sessions, exercise classes, outings and social events.
• Work with the care team to involve them in the delivery of the activities and events.
• Source and manage external entertainers or volunteers from the local community.
• Maintain accurate records including resident participation and feedback of daily activities.
• Beyond that, it’s all about your creative approach, infectious enthusiasm and caring nature.
