Job summary

Buchanan House Care Home is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance daily life by delivering engaging, person-centred activities that promote wellbeing and social interaction.

You will plan group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents' interests and needs, building strong relationships to understand preferences and support inclusive participation, including residents living with dementia.

Situated in Bearsden, our purpose-built care home offers Residential, Nursing, Dementia & Respite care to 53-residents.

Activities Coordinator Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 40 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.

Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.

• Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial, however candidates with transferable skills from roles such as hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply
