Job summary

Sense Centre Smethwick is seeking motivated Support Workers to help people with complex disabilities lead active, fulfilling lives. The role offers permanent contracts up to 37.5 hours per week with a weekend pattern, and pays £13.00 per hour (£25,350 FTE). Full training is provided, and no prior experience is required.

Desirable: UK driving licence, and knowledge of BSL. There is a strong focus on activities, independence, and community involvement in a welcoming team at Sense Centre Smethwick.

Qualifications

• Permanent roles with contracts up to 37.5 hours per week on a variable shift pattern, may include weekends.
• Full training provided, so no previous experience is needed.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable; knowledge of BSL is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support people with active lifestyles to take part in activities they love at the service and in the community.
• Assist with personal care, everyday tasks and independent living skills.
• Support with activities, trips and appointments in the community; assist with medication and wellbeing.
