Job summary

Royal Mail Barnoldswick invites applications for a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a 9-month fixed-term contract. You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot, and work on rotating shifts including weekends.

A full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) is required; you must be physically fit to walk long distances and lift mailbags. You’ll train with us, receive a uniform and a red van, and enjoy local community contact.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your name and address.
• Able to pass a driving assessment for daily van driving.
• Physically fit for long walks, stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and work outdoors in all weathers.
• Deliver high volumes of parcels during busy periods.
