Job summary

Royal Mail Group is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Reigate to deliver letters and parcels on a rotating schedule. You’ll work a 37-hour week across Monday to Sunday, with weekend work and training provided. A uniform and iconic red van are supplied.

Role involves delivering by van and on foot, building customer relationships, and working outdoors in all weather. The position is a fixed-term contract for 6 months.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work outdoors

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Skills
