Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Clacton-On-Sea is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a 9-month fixed-term contract. You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot, and build relationships with customers in your local area.

This physically demanding role operates on a rotating schedule, including some weekends and 35 hours per week, with a salary of £13.68 per hour plus paid overtime. Training, a uniform, and a red van are provided.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence is required (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated; strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service; comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities
