Job summary

Royal Mail Group is seeking a Postie for a fixed-term 9-month role at Clapham Delivery Office. The position is 30 hours per week across Monday to Sunday, with 09:30–15:30 shifts and some weekend work, delivering letters and parcels by van and on foot to the local area.

You will need a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 points), be physically fit to walk long distances and carry mailbags, and be comfortable working outdoors while you operate independently on your route.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence required (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift 10kg+ mailbags.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
