Job summary

Royal Mail in Luton is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels on a rotating 37-hour week, across Monday to Sunday 11:00–18:24. You’ll work in the community, on a Royal Mail van and on foot, building relationships with customers.

You’ll be trained, provided a uniform and the iconic red van. The role involves outdoor work in all weathers, with overtime and a fixed shift pattern; Sundays may be required. The salary is £13.68 per hour, paid monthly.

Qualifications

• Valid full UK manual driving licence.
• Physically fit for walking long distances and lifting mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated with good organisation.

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
