Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Peacehaven is hiring a Postie to deliver letters and parcels across the local area. You will work on a rotating shift, 30 hours per week across 5 days in 7, with early and late starts and weekends on occasion.

You will need a full manual UK driving licence and the stamina to walk and drive in all weather. Training is provided, you’ll wear a uniform and drive a red Royal Mail van, with overtime available.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Physically able to walk long distances and drive in all weather.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Good organisation and resilience in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weathers and follow a delivery rota
