Job summary

Royal Mail in Paignton is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract for 9 months. You will work 30 hours per week across 5 days, driving a Royal Mail van and delivering letters and parcels on your route.

You’ll be outdoors in all weather, meet customers, and follow a rotating schedule including Sundays. Full training and a uniform are provided, with overtime paid where applicable.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weathers
