Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in New Cross, delivering letters and parcels while staying active and connected to the community. You will rotate shifts, including weekends, with a scheduled rota and driving a Royal Mail van on your routes.

Full training is provided along with a uniform and a red van. A full manual UK driving licence is required and you must be physically able to walk long distances and lift mailbags.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for long walks and lifting mailbags.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weathers.
