Job summary

Royal Mail in Wilmslow is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract for 10 months. You will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, in all weathers, on a 37-hour week with rotating shifts and weekend work.

The role requires a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) and the ability to pass a driving assessment. Training provided, with 22.5 days holiday and generous pension.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) is required.
• Ability to pass a driving assessment and operate a Royal Mail van daily.
• Physically fit and capable of walking long distances in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and work outdoors in all weathers.
• Work rotating shifts, including Sundays/weekends; follow delivery routes.
