Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Stafford is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a 9-month fixed-term contract to deliver letters and parcels across Stafford. You will work a 30-hour week on a rotating schedule, including some Sundays, with a Royal Mail van and full training provided.

Role requires a full manual UK driving licence, the ability to pass a driving assessment, and the stamina to walk long distances and lift mailbags in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence is required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, stairs/hills, lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
