Job summary

Royal Mail in Newtownards is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels on a rotating shift, outdoors, in all weathers. You will sort mail, drive a van, and build relationships with local customers. Full training provided, uniform, and a red van.

The role is 35 hours per week across a 5 day in 7 rota, with weekend work included. Salary is £13.68 per hour (paid monthly) plus paid overtime.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily
• Physically fit to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
