Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Essex is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to join the Billericay delivery office on a fixed-term 9-month contract. You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van or on foot, and build relationships with customers in your local area.

The role involves outdoor work, a 37-hour week, weekend shifts, and a driving assessment. Full training provided, a uniform, and a Royal Mail van are supplied.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive Royal Mail van daily and pass driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
