Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Slough is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a permanent contract. You will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, work outdoors in all weathers, and join a rotating shift that includes some weekends. The role is 30 hours per week across 5 days, with hours typically 8:00–15:30 or 12:00–20:30 and 1 in 4 Sundays.

A full manual UK driving licence and the ability to pass a driving assessment are required. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Able to pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for long walking distances and outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
