Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Bideford is recruiting a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 9-month contract. You will deliver letters and parcels in the local area, combining van driving with on-foot deliveries, across a 35-hour week on a rotating shift pattern.

You must hold a full manual UK driving licence, be physically fit for long walks, and enjoy working outdoors. Training, a uniform, and ongoing support are provided as part of a community-focused, customer-facing role.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Ability to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable, self-motivated with strong organisation and resilience

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in local area
