Job summary

Royal Mail, Thurso Delivery Office, is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot, and build relationships with customers in the local community.

This fixed-term role covers 37 hours per week with weekend work on a rotating schedule, including some overtime. You must hold a full manual UK driving licence and enjoy being active outdoors.

Royal Mail provides training, a uniform, and the support of a trusted team.

Qualifications

• Full training provided; driving licence required; physically capable of outdoor duties.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and cover long distances.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
