Job summary

Royal Mail Newbury Delivery Office is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels on a rotating shift, 35 hours a week across Monday to Sunday, with some weekends. You will sort, deliver by van and on foot, and build relationships with customers.

Full training provided; you need a full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points, be physically fit to walk long distances, lift 10kg+ mailbags, and pass a driving assessment.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, lift 10kg+
• Reliable and self-motivated in a busy environment
• Strong organisational skills and resilience
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
