Job summary

Royal Mail Seaford Delivery Office is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term 6-month contract. The role involves a 30-hour week across 5 days in 7, with 09:00–15:00 or 15:00–21:00 shifts and some weekend work.

You will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot in your local area, building customer relationships and supporting the community in all weather. Full training, a uniform, and a Royal Mail van are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a full manual UK driving licence.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, lift 10kg+ as part of delivery duties.
• Reliable and self-motivated with strong organisation to manage routes.
• Willingness to work outdoors, in all weather, including some weekend days.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and provide a reliable service.
• Work outdoors in all weather and maintain safety and efficiency.
