Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Coulsdon is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 6-month contract. You will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, build customer relationships, and work outdoors in all weather.

Training is provided, with a uniform and a red Royal Mail van. The role requires a full manual UK driving licence (≤6 points), a driving assessment, and the ability to handle long distances and a physically demanding workload.

Qualifications

• Must have a full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Able to pass a driving assessment for Royal Mail vans
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and carry mailbags
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy outdoor environment

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ro ta schedule includes weekends and shifts across 5 days in 7
