Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking flexible individuals to join as Delivery Drivers in Scotland. You will be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels, combining driving with walking on foot as part of your round.

Shifts vary and adaptability is essential to succeed in this pivotal local service. The role requires a full manual UK driving licence (no more than 6 points) and the ability to walk long distances, lifting items up to 16kg, with a focus on reliable, friendly service

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels to communities as part of your round.
• Drive a Royal Mail delivery van and complete route parts on foot where required.
• Ensure items reach their destination safely and on time, including handling and delivering election materials as needed.
