Job summary

Royal Mail in Kirkwall is recruiting a flexible Post Person with Driving to deliver letters and parcels within the community. You will drive a Royal Mail van on your round, with portions of the route walked, to ensure reliable service in all weather.

As a driver, you must hold a full UK manual licence with up to six points, be physically fit to walk up to 20,000 steps daily, and be adaptable to shift changes. This temporary role offers meaningful work with a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with up to six points.
• Physically fit to walk around 20,000 steps per day and carry up to 16 kg.
• Flexible, able to adapt to shifting schedules at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your round, driving a Royal Mail van and sometimes delivering on foot.
• Secure, on-time delivery of items in all weather conditions.
